Bacon Mac n Cheese Burger

Bacon Mac'n'cheese Burger

How can food with the words bacon and cheese in it not taste good.

First of make the box of mac and cheese according to the box directions.  Once done pour all the mac n cheese into a large bowl and add the eggs, flour and red pepper flakes.

Scoop about a half  a cup of mac n cheese into a hot frying pan with some oil in it and let cook. About 2 minutes on each side, until they are slightly brown.

While you have the mac n cheese cooking start frying up some bacon.

This is what the mac n cheese should look like all done.

I liked to pour the some of the bacon grease into the pan before I toast up the bun, but you can just use a little bit of regular oil.

Don't forget to BBQ the burgers

Toast up both side of the buns so you have a nice crunch.  But be careful not to let it sit to long because they cook fast.

Now that everything is cooked you can decorate your burger.
I layered it BBQ sauce, mac n cheese patty, burger, Cheese slice, bacon, and more BBQ sauce.

Now fair warning this can be really messy.  But is it oh so good.

ENJOY!!

This recipe makes 4 burgers. But is easy to double

Bacon Mac'n'cheese burger

4 Burger Patties
4 Slices of Swiss cheese
4 Burger Buns
BBQ sauce

  1. Cook up the mac'n'cheese, pour in a bowl with two eggs, flour, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Spoon a half cup of the mac'n'cheese mixture onto a hot frying pan and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, until slightly browned.
  3. In a separate frying pan fry up the bacon. Once done lay on a paper towel to soak up the excess grease.
  4. BBQ the burgers according to your liking.
  5. Toast the buns. I toast them in a pan, both sides.
  6. Decorate your buns with all the fixings and enjoy.
